FK Wheel Spacers

FK Alloy Wheel Spacers are well known worldwide for their outstanding quality and value. Manufactured by FK in Germany, these wheel spacers are crafted from aircraft alloy and are extremely easy to fit to your vehicle.

By increasing the track on your vehicle you will immediately notice two things, firstly the car looks more aggressive and more importantly the handling will be better. Increased wheel track equates to an increased stability. We supply various sizes of wheel spacer from 3mm-35mm and all spacers are priced and supplied as a pair. The measurement given is the overall track widening for the vehicle.

The measurement given for the spacers is the overall track width for both axles. For example a 20mm set of spacers will widen the track by 10mm per wheel. Therefore if you want to widen your vehicle’s wheel track by 10mm, you will need to order a 20mm kit. Easy!

System A / System A Centric
System A wheel spacers are fit onto the hub by either your standard wheel bolts or new longer aftermarket wheel bolts. Most of the time any size up to 5mm width will mean you can use the factory bolts, any larger than 5mm and you will need to buy longer bolts. When you purchase a spacer 10mm or larger they will be machined with a hub locator. This ensures the weight of the car rests on the axle and not just on the wheel bolts and is known as a hub centric spacer.

System (A) - Supplied as a flat spacer.
System (A Centric) - Supplied with a hub locating ring.

System B Centric / System B+ Centric
These two systems of wheel spacer are bolted onto the hub first using bolts supplied and then you bolt your wheel to the spacer using your existing wheel bolts. This type of spacer is only used on the thicker spacers (15mm upwards). System B+ uses additional steel inserts for even extra safety and longer life.

When fitting wheel spacers you must first ensure the surface you are fitting the spacer to is clean and free from dirt and dust particles. We recommend using a wire brush to prepare the surface. Brush on a small amount of copper grease to prevent the spacer from dislocating when you fit the wheel and help prevent rust on the hub. Tighten the wheel bolts to the factory torque settings.

For any spacers under 15mm you may have to shorten your standard wheel bolts.

Which wheel spacers will fit my car?
When buying wheel spacers it is up to you to be sensible and buy spacers that will not cause tyre/arch contact. Simply measure the space you have between tyre and arch then give yourself an approx 5mm safety gap. For example if the distance between the tyre and arch is 20mm order a 15mm or smaller spacer.

Will I need longer wheel bolts for my spacers?
If you are purchasing System A wheel spacers these do not come with longer bolts so any spacer over 5mm you will require longer wheel bolts. When purchasing longer wheel bolts simply measure the length of the standard factory wheel bolt then add the width of the spacer you are fitting, this will give you the required bolt length. For example, if the bolts are 40mm long and your fitting 10mm spacers you will require 50mm studs.

If you are purchasing System B or B+ spacers then all the necessary wheel bolts are included in the kit, so no need to buy extra bolts. Hope this information helps! If you require any assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Using a 17mm (or smaller) bolt on spacer/adapter may require you to shorten the wheel bolts you are using to bolt the wheel to the adapter. Failure to do so may result in you stripping the threads or buckling the spacer/adapter. Always test fit the spacer/adapter to the back of the wheel before bolting the spacer/adapter to your hub, this will ensure the wheel bolts you are using do not poke through the back of the spacer/adapter. If they do you will need to shorten the wheel bolts. If you are unsure please call for advice.
